consoles, if it had the right term codes in it ie wyse50 or some such.
this is because if the serial console hangs on a 4.1.3 machine, it also
hangs the processor (dont know why but it does). but then this same thing
could be done by cat nasty.codes.file /dev/console if you were on the
machine.
